MP Surya regrets state govt apathy towards Namma Metro Yellow Line project
Bengaluru South MP Tejasvi Surya expressed sadness for seeing State Govt not showing urgency in Namma-Metro Yellow Line project. The MP also highlights the requirement of full time leadership in BMRCL. As he said he is putting his best to reach the deadline of February 2024, the young MP also visited China and West Bengal in the follow up process of the Yellow Line.
Sharing updates about Yellow line MP Tejasvi Surya wrote, "Here are some exclusive pictures of the car bodies that have arrived at Titagarh Plant for Yellow Line train sets. I spoke to Titagarh leadership and asked them to do whatever best to make available trains in shortest possible time.
Public transport projects like Namma Metro have traditionally suffered from lack of realistic planning. I have kept reminding BMRCL that Feb 2024 deadline is not gonna meet by itself. It needs to get its act together in these crucial months to meet its claimed deadline.
I have incessantly highlighted need of dynamic full time leadership at BMRCL to steer these efforts. Even today, we don’t have a full time leadership. This may cause us to miss the Feb 2024 timeline.
Sad to see no urgency by the State Govt. I’ll keep trying my best to have early operations.", in X.
